A December To Remember: Welcoming The Holiday Season With The Millennium School GNW’s Festavaganza

by admin December 24, 22

It was a December to remember for The Millennium School, Greater Noida West. Students, parents, and visitors were swept away by the Yuletide spirit with Festavaganza, the first ever on-campus Christmas Carnival hosted by the school in association with their F&B partner Nirula’s, which was power-packed with fun, festivities, and stunning performances by students.

The school hosted the Christmas Festavaganza on Saturday, December 24, from 10:30 a.m. onward. Live music beckoned the visitors to the carnival grounds as students exhibited their creative talents and leadership skills by putting on a vibrant show. The grand event opened with Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy.” Budding singers delivered a melodious musical performance. The event also witnessed several moments of energy and excitement during the carnival parade. The school band and little cheerleaders enthusiastically led the parade with Christmas songs. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Teddy, Panda, Polar Bear, Tiger, and the Tall Man joined in on the fun to entertain the crowd with their dance. Following the parade, little ones clicked selfies with the carnival mascots at the selfie station set up on the school ground.

Flash mobs and Nukkad Natak were the main highlight of the day. The high-energy, impromptu street dance performance by students and Christmas mascots stunned the audience to the core. Little twinkle toes moved to the beats of WakkaWakka, Magenta Rhythm, Jingle Bells, Bird Machine, etc. The crowd couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. A Nukkad Natak on the themes “save water” and “safe garbage disposal” was presented by the children to generate mass awareness on environmental conservation.

The audience got to experience a Rajasthani art & culture element, as well. Skilled Marwadi artists presented a live puppet show and Kachchi Ghodi, a renowned folk dance from Rajasthan that involves dummy horses and drum tunes.

Students and parents cherished every moment they spent at the Christmas stalls. Participants won exciting prizes in games like Bouncy Ball, Frisbee Toss, Dig the Treasure, 7 Up 7 Down, Hungry Monsters, Stack n Drop, Fast-Faster-Fastest, Rein the Reindeer, etc. Families tested their skills at the DIY stations while little ones lined up to get their favourite designs painted on their hands at the tattoo booth

Roller balls and Bouncees attracted toddlers. Children enjoyed frequent train rides and spent a wonderful time with Santa and his helpers. Books on wheels, merry-go-rounds, Karaoke, and carnival games attracted excited onlookers. Parents and grandparents enthusiastically tried out their luck in Tambola, and the winners took home cash prizes. Friends and family clicked photographs at the photo booth to cherish carnival memories and enjoyed delectable delicacies at the Nirula’s food counter

The grand finale entailed a scintillating dance performance by the Christmas mascots, students, and audience. The results of the much-anticipated LUCKY DRAW were announced towards the end of the show.

Winners went home with bumper prizes: a 32″ Samsung LED television (won by Ms. Deepika), a 20-liter Samsung microwave oven (won by Ms. Meenu), a Wonder Chef mixer grinder (won by Ms. Kanchan), a Havells electric kettle (won by Ms. Diti Chauhan), and a Philips steam press (won by Mr Vivek Mishra and Ms Madhu Mishra). All in all, it was a warm, welcoming, and enjoyable day for the visitors.

The joyous Christmas week in the classroom included Christmas art & craft. In the art class, students learned about different strokes, textures, and lines through fork painting. On December 22, a special Christmas assembly was organised by the Early Years. Tiny tots indulged in carolling, dance performances, and interactive discussions around the importance of the festival. Educators emphasised the values associated with Christmas, like gratitude, care, kindness, sharing, etc. The halls and classrooms were decked with students’ colourful artwork and lively decorations to spread the cheer around. Students embellished Christmas trees with tinsel, bells, stars, and ornaments. A “winter wonderland” was set up at the school reception to greet the visitors.

Thus, the last week before the winter vacations at The Millennium School, Greater Noida West ended with beaming faces and memories that will be cherished forever. Our visitors had a holly jolly day ahead of Christmas celebrations, and we hope that yours is just as merry.
